Earth is experiencing a time of technological wonders like the Internet. What the general public doesn't know is that there are certain pages on the web that can "capture" people. Once a person even sees the link to one of these sites, they are mysteriously inclined to click on it and browse. It could be a site for dating, a place for just chatting, a simple spot for recipes, just about anything. Either way, anyone that visits these places has been marked, and their fate is sealed so to speak. Rumors say that these sites change over time, almost as if it's morphing for the person browsing. The weird thing is, nobody has been able to actually find and archive a single one of these supposed sites, and it's unsure if this is a real phenomenon or a case of mass hysteria. Alleged victims of these sites are reported to be glued to their computer, staring at a blank monitor like there's something actually on it. The victims never type anything or use the mouse, and are seemingly in a trance. There are a multitude of accounts claiming these victims go missing after a while, but this is only internet hearsay.

The most sinister part about this phenomenon is it somehow being linked to the real life event known as "The Melting". The Melting was a strange occurrence where the entire population of [CLEARED] all turned into fleshy goo piles where they stood, the exact date and time of this event is unknown. Investigators eventually uncovered an underground facility beneath the mayor's farm property, along with horrific documents in the mayor's above ground office. These documents exposed a large majority of the town for facilitating a secret cyber cult where top members sacrificed their own friends and family in order to test newly invented cybernetic enhancements before installing it on themselves. The underground facility housed about 150 test subjects ranging from ages 18 to 45 according to poorly burnt and shredded documents. All of the computers and servers were destroyed, it's theorized they were blown up to get rid of the most damning evidence. Could be that the facilitators knew something bad was coming, and they preemptively destroyed proof of their experiments to protect certain organizations involved with the projects funding. The operation reportedly ran for 13 years unchecked before The Melting, but this could be a lie. Investigators have ruled out the possibility of the enhancements turning people to goo, since not every goo pile contained them. It's unknown if everyone turned to goo at once, or if it was a gradual assault on the population, as there have been no witnesses to tell.

How does this relate to the mysterious websites? Well... A girl who went by [CLEARED] had a blog up detailing her time with one of these sites. The blog started fine, venting about her horrible life in the town of [CLEARED] as the daughter of a mayor who didn't care for her like a parent should. For a few years it was just normal teenage angst, lamenting how no one understood her and that she was a total social outcast, until she suddenly started spamming posting about her, and I quote "WEBZONE FANTASY GETAWAY". She claimed there was a website specially made for her, she finally had friends, and she was purposefully picked to be for something greater. Her followers she garnered over the years got concerned, asked who she was chatting with and if she could post screenshots. She would usually reply to these concerns by uploading a broken image link or two and bragging about how she was going to be the Earth's new "God" and how if everyone should be nicer to her from now on there was no need to worry. She was met with a lot of hate and people labeling her delusional, but she never stopped posting things like "MY CALL FOR THE END HAS BEEN ANSWERED" and "WAVES UPON WAVES UPON WAVES". Everyone laughed it up and passed around screenshots of every new post until her blog went completely offline. Months later leaked documents about "The Melting" were spread all over the net, including this forum.

Write up over! I've become absolutely obsessed with this rabbit hole to the point where it's kept me awake at night wondering about what happened to her. I have vivid dreams of scrolling her blog, only seeing screenshots of it is killing me! I know a lot of you read the write up SkepticalHelper made on "The Melting" when everything leaked a few months ago, but he failed to include anything about this! Maybe he just wasn't privy that blogging site? (he does seem pretty old LAWL) What do you guys think?
